Here are some tips and tricks for time management.

1

Do you come into work unprepared, not knowing what your tasks are? Are you finding yourself wasting the first hour getting organized for the day? Well, one way to combat that time-wasting habit is to take the last 5-10 minutes at the end of each day and create a plan for the next day.

2

Nothing is worse than leaving an important task until the end of the day or work week and struggling to complete it. When thinking about what order to complete tasks think:

  • If it is important and urgent, complete that task first

  • If it is important and non urgent, complete those tasks when time allows

  • If it is urgent but not important, ask for help or complete those tasks second.

  • If it is non urgent and not important, set those tasks aside for when time allows

If you are moving from one task to another without a break it can be hard to stay on track. Giving yourself scheduled downtime in between jobs can help you stay on schedule. Taking breaks can also help keep you motivated and responsible with your time.
