Physical Health Get active!

    1. Yes, you should take the stairs vs the elevator. While we do not have stairs we often get up from our decks to walk around and talk to each other. Ashley, our sales and social media manager, goes to a gym before or after work at least 3x’s a week. Our creative director also enjoys her mornings spent at the gym and our graphic designer prefers her at home workouts. Moving your body is so important for a healthy body, mind, and soul.
    2. Yes, you should use your standing desk. Our creative director, Cami, has a standing desk, she typically uses it a couple days a week for 2 hours each time.
    3. While there are no studies that prove blue light glasses work, it isn’t going to hurt you. Blue light glasses claim to block the blue light from your computer and cell phone. Mental Health is just as important as physical health!

      1. Take your break! And enjoy it. Too many times employee’s do not take the break that they need. Often leaving work exhausted and on empty when they go home. Eating lunch away from your desk and away from the stress of work for 30 minutes is essential for your mental health.
      2. Ask for help. When you need help, ask for it. In your personal or professional life. No one is superman and can do it all, all the time. When you don’t ask for help, you end up putting more stress on yourself.
      3. Keep in touch with family and friends. Everyone has a life outside of work so make sure you are sharing that life with the ones who love you most. You will come back to work refreshed and ready to tackle the tasks at hand.
      4. Do something you are good at. When you feel like nothing is going right, take some time to do something you are good at. Nothing gives a big boost to your confidence than completing a task. For me, I personally love to cook or fold some laundry. Even the smallest tasks can get you snowballing into bigger tasks.
