About River City Waste Services

River City Waste Services (RCWS) is a waste and recycling provider in LaSalle County. The company was founded in February 2019 by Shawn McDowell, a second-generation sanitation engineer. Before the business officially launched, they turned to Pesola Media Group for a full website buildout. RCWS came to us with a logo design. It was our job to build a web presence and design accompanying print materials. In essence, PMG was tasked with establishing the brand’s identity around the existing logo.

RESULTS

The website was designed to strengthen brand identity and establish a simple way for residential and commercial customers to inquire on services. The design is clean and easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile. Also, RCWS is an SEO-driven website with keyword-rich content. Although the site is filled with informative copy, it never feels heavy. This is achieved through smart design planning.

RCWS wanted to position themselves as an approachable, community-driven company. To achieve this goal, Pesola Media Group set up a Facebook page and Google My Business account using customized graphics and industry best practices. Customers can easily connect with RCWS on an authentic level. This has brought the company over 600 Facebook likes and 20 Google reviews in a month.

Additionally, River City Waste Services opted for Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) to reach potential local customers. The PMG team designed and distributed mailers advertising their residential and commercial services. In total, RCWS reached 20 thousand local households and gained a strong customer base.
